Responsibilities

Summary:

The Physical Therapy Technician plays a crucial role in the success of Team Rehabilitation. The primary duties involve ensuring that patients receive the necessary assistance to achieve their recovery goals and enhance their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of high-quality treatment. This includes welcoming and reassuring patients as they prepare for their therapy sessions. Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and provide motivation when necessary. Adhere to the care plan established by the therapist for each patient. Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks and provide support to facilitate patient success in therapy. Educate patients on the proper use of equipment, ensuring safety and correct usage. Aid patients with light exercises and strengthening routines. Assist in applying therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation. Help patients who require assistance in mobility, ensuring safety through proper techniques. Maintain open communication with patients, physicians, and other staff involved in the patient's care, including necessary follow-ups. Foster a positive and professional relationship with patients and colleagues. Prepare and maintain treatment areas in a clean and organized manner, ensuring all equipment is sanitized after each use. Comply with all established procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintain a productive workflow, documenting any progress or changes for the Physical Therapist.

Additional Duties:
The Physical Therapy Technician reports to the clinic director and may perform other tasks as assigned by the clinic director.
