Summary:
The Physical Therapy Aide plays a crucial role in the success of Team Rehabilitation. The primary focus is to ensure that patients receive the essential support needed to achieve their recovery goals and enhance their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering high-quality treatment. This includes welcoming and reassuring patients to prepare them for their therapy sessions. Exhibit exceptional customer service skills and provide motivation when necessary. Adhere to the care plan developed by the therapist for each patient. Support therapists with non-clinical tasks and assist in facilitating the patient's success in therapy. Educate patients on the proper use of equipment, ensuring safety and correctness. Aid patients with light exercises and strengthening activities. Assist in applying therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation. Help patients who require assistance in mobility, using safe techniques. Ensure effective communication with patients, physicians, and other staff involved in the patient's care, including necessary follow-ups. Maintain a professional and pleasant relationship with patients and colleagues. Keep treatment areas organized and clean, ensuring all equipment is sanitized after each use. Comply with all relevant procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintain a productive workflow and document any progress or changes to the Physical Therapist. Additional Tasks:
The Physical Therapy Aide reports to the clinic director and may perform other duties as assigned by the clinic director.
