Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team at Coastal Gulf & International, Inc. The successful candidate will provide critical support to our Operations Coordinator by dispatching field inspectors to client terminals and plant facilities. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive and prepare work orders in a timely and accurate manner
* Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from supervisors and field inspectors
* Confer with customers and supervising personnel to address questions and requests related to work orders
* Prepare daily reports and maintain accurate records
* Report any incidents or issues as they arise
* Collaborate with Operations Coordinators to ensure seamless day-to-day operations
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Proficient in MS Word and Excel
* TWIC card required
Work Environment:
* This position is performed in an office environment
* May require occasional travel (up to 10%)
Physical Demands:
* Required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Must be able to work in the presence of odors typical of petroleum or petrochemicals without allergic reactions or nausea
