Job Description:

Cirque du Soleil is seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Manager to join their team. As a key member of the retail team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and profitability through effective merchandise planning and control.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze product performance to develop strategies for improvement
  • Serve as a merchant leader for consumer and trend awareness, transforming feedback into winning product assortments
  • Encourage the expansion and distortion of inventory to develop assortments that respond to current trends
  • Develop processes and practices around pricing promotions and markdowns to meet sales and margin targets
  • Establish beneficial vendor alliances and identify new business opportunities consistent with Rank + Rally short and long-term business strategies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning, with 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and developmental skills to inspire team members
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills, with ability to manipulate large quantities of data in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of retail math, including return on investments, gross margin, initial markup, etc.

What We Offer:

Cirque du Soleil offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan, flexible time off, holiday time off, associate shopping program, health and wellness programs, discount marketplace, identity theft protection, pet insurance, commuter benefits, employee assistance program, and flexible spending accounts (FSAs).
