We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Executive Director to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. Key Responsibilities- Manage daily service line operations, including tactical operational plans, technical and regulatory builds, procurement, and vendor management.
- Implement service line growth and development strategies to ensure strategic, operational, and financial focus on growth, improving outcomes, clinical effectiveness, and patient safety.
- Contribute to the design and development of new programs and systems to improve the customer experience and create a persistent customer-first mentality across physical and digital channels.
- Partner with the Medical Director and Associate Medical Directors for all activities related to patient care and medical staff management.
- Partner with the Chief Operating Officer to manage key performance indicators for service lines and portfolio business cases, including measures of process performance and programmatic outcomes.
- Identify inefficiencies and process improvement opportunities, analyze potential gains, prioritize, and propose action plans and timelines to support continuous improvement.
- Assist with leading and managing change through influencing matrixed System resources to achieve system-wide performance improvement initiatives.
- Support relationships and communication with other city and state agencies, offices, or members of government; community-based organizations; and other external stakeholders as needed.
- Respond quickly to unanticipated or urgent requests, providing consultation and direct support to relevant team members as needed.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare Administration, Health Care Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, personnel and labor relations, finance, or appropriate functional discipline with an emphasis on planning, liaison, and inter-organizational relationships.
- Strong leadership and change management skills, including experience with clinical practice management.
- Provider management experience within clinical service lines.
- Superior organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Desire and ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including business, clinical, and IT leadership.
- Excellent customer service and people skills.
- Strategy, Project Management, Healthcare Market Analysis, Telehealth, and Other Healthcare Technologies, Healthcare Operations, Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, Risk Management, Regulatory & Accreditation, Care Experience, Healthcare Administration, Data & Reporting, Policy, Leadership, and Team Building.
- Willingness to travel to NYC Health + Hospitals facilities within the 5 boroughs.
