Job Title: Scrum Master

ICF is seeking a seasoned Scrum Master to join our Health Modernization Solutions (HMS) team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in driving our team's success by facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing workloads, and ensuring user stories are properly validated and enhanced.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with stakeholders to accurately report progress, risks, successes, and failures
  • Employ scrum ceremonies to keep the team aligned and focused on sprint goals and priorities
  • Conduct user research, draft user stories, and meet with users to validate and enhance them
  • Break down the roadmap into epics and group user stories under them
  • Work with customers and developers to write user stories that are independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, small, and testable
  • Manage lightweight, living planning documents, like an Agile Product Roadmap
  • Ensure user stories include acceptance criteria that reasonably covers all areas necessary for complete testing of the new functionality
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Remove roadblocks for the team and assist in breaking down tasks for team members
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2 years' experience leading Agile ceremonies, teams, and using Agile tools such as JIRA or Agile Boards
  • 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Product Manager for a software development team
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US
  • Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First-level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly skilled in team facilitation, conflict resolution, implementing best practices, team empowerment, and creating a culture of transparency
  • Federal Government contracting work experience
  • Prior experience working remotely full-time
  • Familiarity with AWS Code-related Agile boards
  • Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
