Position Overview:
We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator who will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team. This role is essential for advocating for volunteer services, identifying volunteer needs, recruiting new volunteers, and effectively matching them with patients and families.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
- Experience in healthcare, hospice, or volunteer management is advantageous.
- Prior volunteer experience is a plus.
- Proficient in operating computers, fax machines, copiers, and mobile phones.
- Ability to understand the unique needs of hospice patients and their families.
- Awareness of the emotional challenges faced by individuals with terminal illnesses.
- CPR certification is required.
- Must possess current automobile insurance and a valid driver's license.
