Position Objective

Operate the Turret Punch and contribute to our production team by assembling parts, utilizing machinery for bending, punching, and shearing metal products as directed by supervisors. Produce a variety of parts that precisely meet the dimensional specifications outlined in mechanical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Masterfully operate the Turret Punch and other machinery integral to the production process, or provide support to fellow machine operators.
  • Execute precise setup procedures for tooling, load programs, and configure machine parameters to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by dynamic priorities and shifting demands.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Assemble items according to the specific instructions provided by supervisors.
  • Safely lift raw materials, finished products, and packaged shipments, manually up to 60 pounds, or utilizing a forklift when necessary.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in clearing jams from machinery effectively.
Qualifications
  • Possess 2+ years of hands-on experience operating and programming the turret punch.
  • Have a solid foundation working with sheet metal.
  • Exhibit the ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of tooling principles and maintenance practices.
  • Be able to differentiate between various material types, including Aluminum, Steel and Stainless Steel, Copper, and Brass.
  • Display strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
