As a Technical Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to clients utilizing Amada Punch Presses. Your role will encompass installation, maintenance, operational training, networking, programming guidance, software instruction, application education, and automation training within the assigned territory. Additionally, you will extend your expertise to Press Brakes, Shears, and various general fabrication machinery, including automated material handling systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems, including networking.
  • Interpret and execute layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
  • Prepare daily service reports and weekly expense documentation.
  • Communicate effectively in English with clients and team members.
  • Foster excellent customer relationships and ensure follow-up on service inquiries.
  • Oversee the complete equipment installation process at client locations, which may involve physical tasks such as using hand tools and navigating various work environments.
  • Provide training on operation, applications, software, and part programming to customers.
  • Utilize Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
  • Engage in regular travel within your designated territory.
  • Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of a 2-year degree in a related field, along with relevant work experience, is preferred.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Proficient in analyzing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, Volt/Ohm meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity with computers and Windows operating systems.
  • Adept at reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Demonstrated accountability and responsibility in providing service and support throughout the customer’s ownership experience.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Regular travel within the assigned territory is expected, with occasional overnight stays.
