Job Summary

The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions. This is a supervisory position that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a high level of comfort with relational databases and MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll operations for the agency, ensuring integrity of payroll system and payroll processes
  • Process pay on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations
  • Work closely with the Controller and/or CFO on any identified issues
  • Supervise two staff members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and 10 or more years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required in accounting
  • Knowledge of generally accepted principles and practices and laws
  • Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role
  • High level of comfort with relational databases and MS Excel required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • Cross-functional collaborator and communicator
  • Outstanding attention to detail required
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
  • Knowledge of WorkDay Payroll is a plus
