Job Summary

The Assistant Club Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Club Manager in achieving exceptional customer service and operational excellence at Planet Fitness - Portland ME Group. This leadership position requires a strong focus on team management, customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Club Manager in overseeing daily operations, including customer service, sales, and membership management.
  • Lead by example and maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere for members, prospective members, and guests.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Manage payroll, benefits, and employee relations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to achieve business objectives and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Superior customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a "Judgement Free" experience.
  • Exceptional leadership, diplomacy, and listening skills to motivate and develop team members.
  • Basic computer proficiency, with experience in Microsoft Suite and ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong problem-resolution skills, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Current CPR Certification is recommended.
Physical Demands
  • Visible continuous activity during shift, with frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Continual talking in person or on the phone to members during shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
