Position Summary

The Vendor Evaluation Specialist is responsible for the assessment and evaluation of potential vendors, suppliers, contractors, and joint venture partners to ensure compliance with the company's standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of potential vendors, suppliers, contractors, and joint venture partners.
- Review and validate documentation, including financial statements, safety records, certifications, licenses, and compliance documentation.

Financial Review:
- Analyze financial statements of potential vendors to gauge their financial stability and health.
- Assess key financial indicators such as profitability, liquidity, and cash flow.
- Identify potential financial risks and provide actionable recommendations based on analysis.

Safety Compliance:
- Perform safety evaluations to ensure that potential vendors adhere to safety standards and regulations.
- Review vendors' safety histories and compliance with industry safety practices.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Generate detailed reports summarizing evaluation findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and current records of all vendor evaluation activities.
- Manage non-disclosure agreements for the release of financial information.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with various departments, including Procurement, Legal, and Safety, to gather essential information.

Process Enhancement:
- Identify and implement improvements to the vendor evaluation processes and methodologies.
- Introduce best practices to increase the efficiency and accuracy of evaluations.
