This role is a full-time, permanent position based in Waltham, MA.
Compensation:
$90,000 base salary plus commission.
Language Proficiency:
English and Chinese.
Position Overview:
The Business Development (BD) Manager will focus on gene-targeting, licensing and sales of mouse models, and overseeing preclinical studies within the designated region. The role involves achieving business objectives, meeting territory quotas, and identifying new business prospects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise in the scientific and commercial aspects of the relevant fields.
- Proactively engage with potential clients, investigate business opportunities, manage negotiations, and finalize contracts.
- Participate in trade exhibitions and pertinent conferences.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to enhance branding and market presence.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- PhD with relevant industry experience.
- Experience in business development is preferred.
- Strong enthusiasm for advancements in biopharmaceutical science and business.
- Enjoy networking with leading scientists from biotech and biopharma sectors.
- Demonstrated success in revenue generation is advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
- Language skills: English and Chinese.
