Job Summary

The Wickline Group is seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee all aspects of quality assurance within its Freeport, TX plant. This position will support the Quality Manager in ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance to GFSI / SQF and HACCP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the quality team in implementing and maintaining quality systems and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective quality management
  • Provide training and guidance to quality team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
  • At least three years of experience in quality and food safety within a food manufacturing / food processing environment, with at least one year in supervision
  • Proven track record of hands-on leadership of QA techs on the plant floor
  • Conversational Spanish language skills, with strong preference given to candidates who are fully bilingual
  • Certifications in key areas such as SQF and HACCP - GFSI / SQF Practitioner certification is also preferred
  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
