Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels in the warehouse. This involves counting merchandise on the warehouse floor and comparing it to information maintained in a database to ensure the amounts on the database are correct.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy

Count product in different departments to verify inventory levels

Scan product with a LRT Gun and enter quantities counted into the database

Move product as needed to ensure accurate counts

Research discrepancies between physical count and count in the database using proprietary computer system (JSS)

Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service to customers requiring assistance selecting and retrieving products

Requirements:

Excellent math skills

Basic computer skills

Excellent communication skills

Familiarity with products

Ability to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds occasionally

Ability to walk, climb, stoop, and kneel for extended periods

Comfortable with heights

Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation

Work Environment:

The work environment will vary depending on the department where stock is being reviewed. Temperatures will range from cool to cold, and there may be industrial vehicles moving material throughout the warehouse.
