Inventory Specialist

Zal Industrial is a leading industrial supply house specializing in distributing high-quality fasteners, tools, and supplies. As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining precise stock levels, optimizing warehouse organization, and ensuring a smooth flow of products to support efficient operations and timely deliveries.
This role is ideal for detail-oriented, proactive individuals with a passion for creating and maintaining well-organized warehouse systems. We are seeking candidates with 3-5 years of experience in a fastener warehouse environment, excellent leadership, communication, and computer skills.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management and Accuracy:
- Track, organize, and maintain inventory levels to ensure all products are accounted for and accurately reflected in the system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
- Implement and monitor stock rotation strategies to minimize waste and outdated products.
- Warehouse Organization:
- Develop and maintain an optimized layout to improve product accessibility and operational efficiency.
- Label and categorize products logically to facilitate easy identification and picking.
- Coordinate and oversee the relocation or reorganization of products as necessary to streamline operations.
- Receiving and Storage Coordination:
- Oversee receiving processes to ensure products are properly inspected, sorted, and stored.
- Ensure all items are checked for quality and damaged goods are reported and processed correctly.
- Monitor space utilization and adjust storage strategies as needed to accommodate changing inventory volumes.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with the sales and warehouse teams to align stock levels with demand and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and other departments to address inventory-related challenges.
- Operational Reporting:
- Provide reports on stock levels, inventory turnover, and forecasted needs to the management team.
- Identify trends in inventory discrepancies and recommend solutions to prevent future issues.
