Job Title: Residential Advisor

The Arc Carroll County Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Advisor to join our team. As a Residential Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their pursuit of a fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and supervision to direct care staff, ensuring they complete their daily tasks.
  • Manage staff members who work in the home, including training, scheduling shifts, and evaluating performance.
  • Participate in the development and revision of the Person-Centered Plan (PCP); conduct activities designed to meet the habilitative services' objectives as prescribed in the PCP.
  • Assist residents in acquiring independence and social living skills.
  • Ensure the overall nutritional needs of the residents are met by planning balanced meals, shopping for groceries, and preparing meals.
  • Record keeping duties: make entries in daily log, review and approve time sheets, and complete incident reports as necessary.
  • Document progress towards person-centered goals in iCare Manager.
  • Ensure cleanliness of residence and encourage maximum client participation in household chores.
  • Transportation of residents to scheduled activities or appointments.
  • Provide for the safety of residents.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
