Community Living Coordinator

The Arc of Carroll County is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Advisor to join our team. As a Residential Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their pursuit of a fulfilling life.
Key Responsibilities- Support and Supervise Direct Care Staff: Provide guidance and oversight to direct care staff, ensuring they complete their daily tasks and provide high-quality care to residents.
- Manage Staff and Coordinate Scheduling: Manage staff members who work in the home, including training, scheduling shifts, and evaluating performance. Ensure onboarding of staff and coordinate scheduling to meet the needs of residents.
- Develop and Implement Person-Centered Plans: Participate in the development and revision of Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) and implement activities designed to meet the habilitative services' objectives as prescribed in the PCP.
- Assist Residents with Daily Living Skills: Assist residents in acquiring independence and social living skills, including bathing, grooming, and life skills.
- Ensure Nutritional Needs are Met: Plan and prepare balanced and nutritional meals, shop for groceries, and ensure the overall nutritional needs of residents are met.
- Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, time sheets, and incident reports. Document progress towards person-centered goals in iCare Manager.
- Ensure Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the residence, encouraging maximum client participation and involvement in normal household chores.
- Transportation and Other Duties: Transport residents to scheduled agency activities or individually scheduled activities/appointments, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience: AA degree or 60 credit hours with emphasis in human services related subjects, or 15 credit hours with emphasis in human services related subject and one year of experience in the treatment and care of people with developmental disabilities. High School Diploma or GED and three years of experience will substitute.
- Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in software used by The Arc of Carroll County.
- Training and Certifications: Completion of CPR, First Aid, and other Developmental Disabilities Administration and Arc required training.
- Driver's License and Clean Record: Valid driver's license with no more than 2 current points on record, and a clean drug screen and criminal record.
