Position Overview:

The Chief Retail Operations Officer at Vermont Employer will be responsible for the leadership and management of Retail Branches, Contact Center Operations, Community Relations, and Wealth Management services.

This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire and engage teams while fostering a culture that aligns with the organization's mission and core values.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute the retail strategy for branches and contact centers, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and goals to enhance strategic initiatives and promote a member-focused approach.
  • Oversee staffing strategies, including recruitment and retention of high-caliber talent, while nurturing a positive workplace environment.
  • Guide regional managers to ensure optimal branch operations, adherence to policies, and implementation of best practices.
  • Utilize member feedback to pinpoint areas for enhancement, thereby improving branch experiences and maintaining service excellence.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive operational standards and training materials for branch personnel.
  • Manage the retail budget, identify cost-saving measures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Present regular performance reports to the executive leadership team, highlighting key metrics and insights.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations impacting retail operations.
  • Drive community engagement initiatives focused on charitable contributions and business development opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to create and maintain operational standards that ensure a consistent member experience.
  • Expertise in budget management and operational efficiency without compromising service quality.
  • Experience in developing performance metrics and accountability frameworks.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating and mentoring teams to achieve objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with financial institution software systems.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of seven years of management experience in a financial institution overseeing multiple locations.
  • Valid driver's license required.
