Aquatic Safety Supervisor

Northwood Club, a distinguished country club founded in 1946, is renowned for its exceptional member services and top-tier facilities. We are seeking dedicated Aquatic Safety Supervisors to ensure the well-being of our members and guests at our swimming pool.

**Reports To:** Director of Wellness & Recreation, Head Swim Coach/Guard, or Other Department Manager

**Classification:** Seasonal, Hourly and Non Exempt

**General Purpose:** Responsible for overseeing the safety and cleanliness of the aquatic facilities. Engage in aquatic activities organized by the Head Swim Coach and Events team as necessary.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Create a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests.
  • Monitor the check-in area to ensure all individuals sign in appropriately.
  • Observe all pool users to guarantee their safety.
  • Maintain inventory of aquatic equipment and inform management when supplies are needed.
  • Ensure proper care and organization of aquatic equipment and storage areas.
  • Enforce safety rules and conduct standards within the club.
  • Assist in keeping a fully stocked First Aid Kit.
  • Adapt to new tasks as directed by the Department Manager.
  • Participate in safety initiatives at all times.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.

**Qualifications:**

High School Diploma or equivalent; one to three months of related experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.

**Language Skills:** Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence; write basic correspondence; and effectively present information in small group settings.

**Mathematical Skills:** Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and understand ratios and percentages.

**Reasoning Ability:** Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.

**Physical Demands:** Frequent standing, walking, and handling of equipment; occasional sitting and climbing; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

**Vision Requirements:** Regular use of close, distance, and peripheral vision.

**Work Environment:** Outdoor conditions with varying temperatures and moderate to high noise levels.

**Certifications Required:** CPR, AED, Lifeguard, and First Aid Certification.

**Additional Skills:** Ability to communicate effectively in English, and proficient use of all pool safety equipment.
