The Emergency Medical Care Technician - Paramedic (EMCT-P) is responsible for delivering both basic and advanced life-saving interventions in emergency situations. This role requires a combination of independent judgment and teamwork to effectively assess and manage patient care in pre-hospital environments. Key duties encompass patient treatment, readiness of emergency vehicles and equipment, effective communication, educational outreach, and adherence to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibits a collaborative approach in providing patient care.
- Oversees the evaluation and management of trauma and medical crises.
- Performs CPR and accurately measures vital signs manually.
- Engages in clear communication with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Operates emergency response vehicles and ensures the safety of patients and equipment.
- Serves as a mentor for new team members and provides guidance to colleagues.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Emergency Paramedic (EMCT-P) in Arizona is mandatory.
- Current certifications in BLS, ALS, and PALS are required.
- A valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record is essential.
- Previous experience in emergency medical services or patient care is preferred.
