Job Title: Surgical Assistant IIJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Assistant II to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team. As a Surgical Assistant II, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, psychosocial, and educational needs. Develop and implement individualized plans of care to address these needs and promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Implementation and Evaluation: Provide evidence-based care to patients, adhering to hospital policies and procedures. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of care interventions and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately and concisely document patient information in the electronic medical record. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Leadership and Professional Development: Demonstrate leadership skills by motivating and educating peers, delegating tasks, and mentoring new staff members. Participate in professional growth and development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Education: Associate's degree in nursing or diploma in nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher preferred.
- Experience: None required. Certification in area of clinical specialty expected within five years of eligibility.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio. BLS certification required prior to patient contact. ACLS certification required within six months of hire in step-down and ICU areas.
