Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN)/(LVN) to administer prescribed medications, take vital signs, and provide direct patient care. You will also be responsible for restocking medication inventories and identifying safety hazards and emergency situations.
Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN, maintaining related medical records.
- Present medication to patients and observe ingestion or administer medication using specified procedures.
- Take vital signs or observe patients to detect response to medication, and report reactions.
- Restock medication inventories.
- May provide direct patient care, ensuring resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
