Executive Sous Chef Opportunity at Sawmill Creek Resort

Cedar Fair is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Sawmill Creek Resort. As a key member of our culinary leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of food production for all business units, contributing to the overall success of our Food and Beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide an exceptional culinary experience for our guests and patrons.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of menus, recipes, and production procedures.
  • Ensure that correct production levels are maintained, and on-hand product levels are optimized to minimize costs.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food service operations.
  • Lead and develop a cohesive culinary leadership team, and ensure that all kitchen staff are following approved specifications.
  • Develop and promote a training program that indoctrinates members of management in adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of Executive Sous Chef, Sous Chefs, and Kitchen managers, and develop goals for the locations and individual managers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts.
  • ServSafe Manager certification.
  • ServSafe Alcohol certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Food and Beverage industry-related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Executive Chef experience.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and background check.
