Executive Chef Job Description

At Great Wolf Resorts, we are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and drive the success of our food operations. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and profitability
  • Lead and manage a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and presentation
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality control
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director to develop and implement culinary strategies and initiatives
  • Manage kitchen budgets and inventory to ensure optimal profitability and efficiency
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a restaurant kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Proven track record of success in menu development, kitchen management, and team leadership
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
