Banquet Sous Chef

This position will function as the Banquet Sous Chef at Sawmill Creek, a Cedar Fair property.
Responsibilities- Manage inventory, ordering, scheduling, payroll, food and associate safety, and daily operations focused on Banquet operations.
- Oversee all aspects of Banquet operations, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
- Handle guest sales in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner, utilizing suggestive selling techniques to drive revenue growth.
- Train, direct, evaluate, and discipline associates with appropriate documentation, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience at the Kitchen Manager level, with a proven track record of success in Banquet operations.
- Ability to lead a team, motivate associates, and drive results-oriented performance.
- Ability to work long shifts while standing, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ability to lift at least 40lbs, with a commitment to physical fitness and well-being.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs, with a flexible and adaptable mindset.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
