Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve underwriting conditions in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Examine all loan applications and related documents for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage and prioritize the loan processing workflow to meet deadlines and facilitate timely submissions.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of essential documentation, including credit reports, loan applications, title policies, appraisals, and financial statements.
  • Communicate with applicants on behalf of the underwriting team and other stakeholders.
  • Assess loan applications for precision and thoroughness.
  • Analyze income documentation, employment history, and financial statements to confirm loan eligibility.
  • Effectively liaise with loan officers, borrowers, and third-party vendors to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Compile and organize all required documentation for initial submissions to the underwriting department.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies throughout the loan setup process.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to address any additional requirements or inquiries during the underwriting phase.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all loan files and updates in the system.

Qualifications:
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are essential.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, an associate's degree with relevant experience will be considered.
  • A foundational understanding of mortgage lending practices, real estate terminology, and loan guidelines (FHA, USDA, VA, Conventional, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound decision-making abilities are required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to engage professionally with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple loan files efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in mortgage income calculations.

Compensation:
$38,000 - $40,000 annually
