Job SummaryThe Accounting Administrator will be responsible for performing various accounting and administrative tasks, including payroll processing, reconciliations, and data entry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and/or payroll processing, with experience in government contracting and knowledge of federal grants, contracts, and proposals.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll in Deltek software and ADP
- Reconcile leave balance spreadsheet in Costpoint
- Post job ads, assist with onboarding paperwork, and ensure new employees have necessary equipment and access
- Create and enter payroll journal entries into Costpoint
- Perform weekly pension spreadsheet entries
- Update payroll and pension spreadsheets
- Enter cash receipts
- Set up new users for travel, assist with travel arrangements, and obtain approval for travelers
- Set up new employees for 401K, update projection spreadsheets, and upload contributions
- Post labor, pull reports from Costpoint, create drawdown requests, and send for approval
- Perform administrative tasks for grant proposals, keying in data and budget amounts
- Create contracts according to approvals from grant applications
- Key bills and pension payments into Concur
- Act as Office Administrator, check mail, order office supplies, and handle miscellaneous administrative tasks
- Associates degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5-10+ years' related experience
- Background in government contracting and knowledge of federal grants, contracts, and proposals highly beneficial
- Knowledge of ADP preferred
- Proficiency in Excel preferred
Candidates must be local to the DMV and have a flexible schedule, with the ability to work 2-3 days in the office and 35 hours per week. The company offers amazing benefits, including a pension, once the position becomes permanent.
