Job Summary

Thompson Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Outpatient Pharmacy Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our outpatient pharmacy locations, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Approve prescriptions for patients filling prescriptions at FF Thompson outpatient pharmacy locations, using clinical judgment and available resources.
  • Oversee the compounding, preparation, and dispensing of medications for patients, ensuring compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • Participate in the interview and hiring process for staff members assigned to the relevant area of supervision.
  • Assist in identifying measures to improve employee satisfaction, reward, and recognition to promote employee retention.
  • Handle conflict in a direct, timely, and professional manner, ensuring disciplinary action is handled confidentially and well-documented when necessary.
  • Participate regularly and routinely in interdepartmental meetings, projects, and policy-making to successfully conduct the business of the functional unit under their supervision and management.
Requirements
  • Current New York State Pharmacist registration.
  • Accredited continuing education as required/defined by New York State.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D from an accredited Pharmacy program.
  • Minimum of 3 years in ambulatory pharmacy practice.
  • Preferred: 5 years in ambulatory pharmacy practice and 1 year of managerial experience.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $53.30 - $60.00 per hour, with starting pay rate based on experience.
