We are seeking a Flexible Pharmacy Technician to assist with all aspects of the Optum mental health and specialty pharmacy, primarily through the dispensing of medical prescriptions and performing essential clerical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Work Schedule:
This is a flexible role, operating on an as-needed basis. Coverage will be required across multiple locations, all within a reasonable distance from the primary site. The working hours will be Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift scheduled between 8:30 AM and 6 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients and clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders and prepare them for verification under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Process wholesaler medication orders efficiently.
- Verify medication stock and maintain inventory records through data entry.
- Collaborate with the pharmacist to assist in pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Perform various clerical duties related to the department.
- Communicate effectively using strong verbal and written skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Occasional deliveries and trips to the post office may be required (less than 10% of the time).
This role operates on an as-needed basis, requiring flexibility to cover shifts across multiple locations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Colorado.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license.
- Ability to work on an as-needed basis and provide coverage across multiple locations.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $16.00 to $28.27, based on various factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
