About the Job

This role involves processing customer account transactions efficiently and confidentially. As a Client Service Specialist, you will provide exceptional banking experiences by building relationships and offering suitable products and services. Your responsibilities will include handling cash transactions, balancing cash drawers, demonstrating product knowledge, identifying customer needs, ensuring the safekeeping of funds, recognizing fraudulent activity, performing daily tasks, supporting referral goals, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Handle various cash transactions (deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, payments, transfers, check cashing)
• Balance cash drawers and client service specialist transactions
• Demonstrate knowledge of new and existing products and services
• Identify and discuss customers' financial needs to offer suitable products and services
• Ensure the safekeeping of money in the cash drawer and prompt accounting or transfer of funds
• Recognize fraudulent activity
• Perform daily tasks that maintain branch integrity (balancing ATM, processing night drop, balancing negotiable instruments, processing returned mail, balancing credit card machine, monitoring lobby rate sheets and brochures)
• Support referral goals by identifying and referring basic bank products
• Provide an exceptional customer experience
• Other duties as assigned

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have a high school diploma or GED, one year of experience as a Client Service Specialist, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cash handling environment. Bilingual skills are preferred. You must maintain a professional demeanor at all times, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and be able to pass Client Service Specialist training programs.

The estimated salary range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00, depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. Performance-based incentive compensation may also be available.
