Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a strong customer base by identifying and securing new business opportunities in the crane rental/crane service sector.
  • Accurately estimate crane rental job requirements using engineering, mathematical, or physics knowledge.
  • Prepare pricing proposals, cost estimates, and evaluate contractual risks to ensure competitive and profitable job estimations.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored crane rental solutions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional sales, negotiation, and communication skills to effectively close sales and meet/exceed sales targets.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and job estimates.
  • Travel within the service area from Richmond to Charleston for day trips to meet with clients and provide on-site job assessments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM field (preferred).
  • 2-5 years of sales and/or estimating in a relevant field, preferably with a background in construction or as a mechanical contractor.
  • Computer literacy, with experience in 3D Lift Plan, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and NextGen for scheduling (all are a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering, mathematical, physics, or quantitative principles for job estimation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
