  • Key Responsibilities:
  • The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for managing maintenance projects related to the upkeep of the building and surrounding grounds.
  • Oversees building services, including maintenance, building upkeep, grounds maintenance, renovation projects, and coordination of safety and security measures.
  • Conducts regular building inspections and takes proactive measures to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming work environment.
  • Manages safety and security concerns, including fire safety, burglary prevention, and building access control.
  • Collaborates with program managers to identify maintenance needs, track routine maintenance, and coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Monitors and maintains compliance with facility fire and health inspections, addressing any deficiencies noted.
  • Directs contractor activities for the operation and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Other Duties Include:
    Maintaining a high standard of behavior as a role model for youth. Participating in required training and development activities. Reporting any incidents or conditions that may indicate inappropriate relationships among youth or staff. Documenting any use of physical force and unusual incidents as per guidelines. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience directly related to the essential functions of this position. Prior project management experience is highly desired.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to participatory management. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization; dedication to professional standards and personal growth.
  • Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Other:
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and meet the requirements for the company's auto insurance. Must pass state criminal background checks and pre-employment screenings.
