Position Overview:
As a Utility Maintenance Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance operations within our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various equipment. You will also contribute to the preventative maintenance efforts at the plant, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing basic maintenance tasks as per assigned work orders.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and communicate any safety concerns.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance your maintenance skills and expertise.
- Foster collaborative relationships with fellow team members.
- High School diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using computer applications.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and demonstrate proficiency in basic technical tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP.
- Capability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Ability to operate mobile equipment.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise.
- Ability to perform tasks that may require climbing stairs or ladders.
- Competence in performing administrative tasks using a computer.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
