Clinical Nurse III: Medical Cardiology Specialist

The Albany Medical Center seeks a skilled Clinical Nurse III to join our Medical Cardiology team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge.
- Deliver and coordinate patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring competent and compassionate care is uniformly provided to customers.
- Manage the Medical Cardiology unit, a 29-bed unit consisting of 1 private room, 13 semi-private rooms, and one 4-bedroom unit.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions within the acute care stay.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or cardiac hospitalist setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
