Responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist:


Conduct a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures using advanced gamma cameras, ensuring proper injection techniques for radioisotopes.

Perform IV punctures and administer radiopharmaceuticals via IV as necessary.

Prepare the examination area, engage with patients, obtain informed consent when required, and gather accurate clinical histories pertinent to the examination.

Welcome patients, explain the examination process, and position them appropriately.
Select suitable imaging techniques and protocols to complete the examination.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:


Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience and/or training is required.

Current ARRT (R) (NM) or NMTCB as CNMT registry is required.
Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association is required.
