Key Responsibilities:
- Capture x-ray images of designated anatomical areas as instructed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring high-quality and accurate imaging.
- Execute x-ray procedures utilizing portable equipment as required by emergency services and nursing staff.
- Process imaging films for interpretation by radiologists in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms by changing linens, restocking supplies, and sanitizing equipment.
- Prepare and assist in the administration of contrast materials, monitoring dosages and assessing potential allergies to comply with departmental standards.
- Ensure accurate patient records by updating or purging patient film jackets and filing reports or images appropriately.
- Uphold the functionality of imaging and processing equipment through regular maintenance and cleaning, documenting results and reporting any issues to supervisory staff.
- Completion of an accredited radiological training program and eligibility for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
