Employment Status: Full-Time, permanent role (40 hours)

Typical Hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Essential Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
  • Diploma from a Trade School in Nursing

Job Summary

The Practical Nurse (LPN) operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in a clinical environment, adhering to the scope of practice established by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN applies professional and clinical expertise in delivering direct patient care, maintaining compliance with competency standards dictated by the specific clinical program. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the LPN effectively communicates with other licensed practitioners while providing care and support to patients and their families, adhering to legal and ethical nursing standards.
