Position Overview
We are seeking a committed and skilled BAS Controls Service Assistant Project Manager to enhance our operations. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in mechanical or electrical engineering, particularly in the realm of building automation systems (BAS). A comprehensive understanding of control systems, AutoCAD, Visio, and DDC controls is essential, along with experience across various BAS platforms such as Tritium, Niagara, ALC, and Metasys.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing and executing BAS controls service projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to facilitate the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of BAS systems.
- Engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams to effectively communicate and fulfill project requirements.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Visio for the creation and modification of project documentation, including control diagrams, floor plans, and system layouts.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential challenges, and proactively address them.
- Support the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and reports.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, technologies, and best practices, especially regarding BACnet and DDC controls.
- Assist in the integration of various BAS platforms, including Tritium, Niagara, ALC, Allerton, Johnson Controls, Metasys, and others.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in BAS controls, building automation, or a comparable field.
- Stable work history demonstrating project management or assistant project management experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio.
- Strong understanding of BACnet, DDC controls, and various BAS platforms (Tritium, Niagara, ALC, Allerton, Johnson Controls, Metasys).
- EIT or PE license is advantageous, but not mandatory.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
