Job Summary

The Manager, Standards Development and Industry Relations, will oversee the development of trade organization-led consensus standards, coordinating meetings and task groups, and working with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and industry leaders. The Manager will also monitor and support the development of sustainability standards led by the trade organization's Sustainability Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff standards-focused industry committees, ensuring committee administration policies are observed and followed.
  • Manage the development of standards, ensuring ANSI, ISO, or other relevant standards development procedures are followed.
  • Plan, communicate, prepare, and execute standards development committee meetings.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Monitor standards developed by other organizations and assist in preparing trade-led comments.
  • Engage stakeholders in the standards development process and work with them to ensure their input is given in a timely manner.
  • Recruit stakeholders to participate in the standards development process.
  • Interact with engineers, scientists, and other technical stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills.
  • Experience with project management software and virtual communication platforms.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage project teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Results-oriented and able to log and track projects.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
