Job Opportunity

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant I, II, or III to join our team at our Vancouver - 88th St. Dental Clinic.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to assist our dental providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist dental providers in delivering dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and follow-up appointments.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and colleagues, and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest dental techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Valid WA State license and basic life support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, and interpret common written material about dentistry.
  • Preferred bilingual in English/Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Dental Assistant II: completion of a formal Dental Assistant program at a College, Technical Institute, or equivalent, and a minimum of 6 months of work experience.
  • Dental Assistant III: knowledge of proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations, including QI, and a minimum of 2 years of work experience.
