Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the procurement, transport, and service of appealing, nutritious meals to clients in shelter.
  • Manage a team of food service professionals to efficiently meet the agency's food and wellness goals.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to expand the nutrition and wellness programming offered through LifeMoves programs.
  • Regularly monitor agency kitchens and food storage facilities for food safety and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Manage the food and wellness budget, review and approve food/supply invoices, and track expenses in accordance with approved budgets and vendors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or business administration. Master's degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in management of institutional or commercial food service operations.
  • Experience with the Federal Nutrition Programs including Women Infants and Children (WIC) Program, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), School Meals, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) or Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) preferred.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification, or completion of course upon hire.
