Your Contributions to the Team:
  • Analyze drawings and project documents to create comprehensive cost estimates in line with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure a clear understanding of project scope during the estimation process.
  • Conduct accurate quantity takeoffs from design documents in both 2D and 3D formats.
  • Gather current pricing information from various sources to inform estimates.
  • Utilize prescribed software and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to develop cost estimates.
  • Assist senior staff in identifying efficiencies and enhancing the accuracy of project tasks.
  • Organize and maintain project documents, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Update and manage a cost data library.
  • Prepare cost reconciliations between multiple estimates and clarify any variances.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Engage in work that may include a variety of complex features.
  • Make informed decisions on technical challenges and methods, with guidance on project plans and expectations.
  • Provide direction and oversight to junior technical staff and others involved in specific assignments.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline, accompanied by four years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred professional designations include RICS, CCE, CCM, AIA, PE, ASPE, AACEI, CVS, AVS, LEED AP, RA, or any relevant appraisal or real estate licensure.
  • Strong technological proficiency and familiarity with standard estimating systems, including 2D and 3D quantity takeoffs.
  • Proficient in utilizing Information Technology tools such as Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a clear and analytical approach to problem-solving.
