Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze project drawings and documents to create detailed cost estimates following industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of project scope during estimate preparation.
  • Conduct accurate quantity takeoffs from design documents in both 2D and 3D formats.
  • Gather current pricing information from various sources to inform estimates.
  • Utilize prescribed software and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to develop cost estimates.
  • Assist senior team members in identifying efficiencies and enhancing project processes.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including drawings and specifications, in accordance with company protocols.
  • Update and manage a comprehensive cost data library.
  • Prepare cost reconciliations between multiple estimates and clarify any discrepancies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Work complexity may vary, involving both conventional practices and complex features.
  • Make informed decisions on technical issues and methods, seeking approval for project plans as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior technical staff and others involved in specific assignments.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline, along with four years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred professional designations include RICS, CCE, CCM, AIA, PE, ASPE, AACEI, CVS, AVS, LEED AP, RA, or any real estate licensure.
  • Strong technological proficiency and familiarity with standard estimating software functionalities, including 2D and 3D quantity takeoffs.
  • Proficient in Information Technology tools, including Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a clear and analytical approach to problem-solving.
