Payroll Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Payroll Administrator to join our team at AppleOne Employment Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and per diem for both exempt and hourly employees
  • Perform high-volume data entry and audits on payroll reports
  • Ensure new hires and rehires are properly set up in our systems
  • Process termination checks according to state laws
  • Collaborate with departments for accurate payroll coding
  • Provide guidance to employees on payroll questions and conduct training as needed

Requirements:

  • Intermediate Excel skills and a strong understanding of payroll processing
  • Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity experience is a plus)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
  • Great communication skills with employees at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field
  • Certified Payroll Professional or Fundamental Payroll Certification
  • 4+ years of payroll experience and 1+ years processing multi-stage payroll
