Job Summary:

The HR / Payroll Specialist position will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, process weekly payroll, and work closely with the Controller to provide support in financial close.


Key Responsibilities:

Recruiting and onboarding of all new hires.
Process and verify weekly payroll for approximately forty employees through the HRIS system, Paycor.
Assist with employment-related inquiries from employees.
Maintain all employee files, I-9's, driver files, and DOT logs.
Assist and notify employees of benefits.
Reporting of workers' compensation claims with follow-up as needed.

Requirements:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Paycor and or iCIMS experience a plus.
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
3-5 years of payroll experience preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Bilingual - Basic to Intermediate user of Spanish

Working Conditions:

Office environment.
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
