Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Storage Tester who has hands-on experience with MariaDB MaxScale and MinIO (Object Storage). The role involves testing the performance and reliability of storage hardware, ensuring seamless integration with MaxScale and MinIO solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware performance testing, storage systems, and related testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct performance and reliability testing on storage hardware integrated with MariaDB MaxScale and MinIO (Object Storage).
  • Develop and execute test cases to ensure storage systems meet performance standards and reliability under various workloads.
  • Perform stress, load, and endurance testing on storage solutions to evaluate their behavior under maximum capacity.
  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and identify performance bottlenecks in storage hardware and software integration.
  • Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and provide insights on the hardware's performance.
  • Work on debugging and resolving issues related to MariaDB MaxScale and MinIO to ensure smooth functionality across the system.
  • Assist in automating test scenarios for continuous testing and benchmarking.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in hardware testing with a focus on storage systems and performance metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with MariaDB MaxScale and MinIO or other object storage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, databases, and storage optimization.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of networking, storage protocols, and hardware configurations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data related to hardware performance and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automation testing frameworks for hardware or storage systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud storage solutions and their performance metrics.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
