Position Overview:
This role necessitates a valid Secret clearance.

The Classified Cybersecurity Senior Specialist will collaborate with the security team, program management, and government clients to serve as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). The responsibilities of ISSOs can be summarized as follows:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily information system security operations, including hardware and software implementations.
  • Execute technical administration of information systems in alignment with internal security policies and customer requirements, primarily adhering to the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security incidents.
  • Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address noncompliance within the specified timeframe.
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of according to internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
  • Balance competing priorities among multiple clients and programs.
  • Conduct audits as a significant part of this role's responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
  • Experience in information systems auditing.
  • Familiarity with operating system security requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard Information Assurance tools.
Desired Skills:

  • Current experience in an environment supporting DoD or Intelligence Community customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain system Authorizations to Operate (ATOs).
  • Hands-on experience with ICD 503, JSIG, and/or DAAPAM.
  • Experience in implementing new and complex technologies across multiple classification levels within large environments.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field, or equivalent experience/combined education, with nine years of professional experience; or seven years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.

Work Environment: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated facility.

Work Schedules: The organization supports various alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed schedules that offer additional time away from the office, in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.
