Position Overview:

The Classified Cybersecurity Senior Specialist will collaborate with the security team, program management, and government stakeholders to serve as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).

Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily information system security operations, including the implementation of hardware and software solutions.
  • Execute technical administration of information systems in line with internal and customer security protocols, focusing on Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security incidents.
  • Document compliance activities within the designated automated tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) in collaboration with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to rectify noncompliance issues promptly.
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and decommissioned in accordance with established security policies and practices.
  • Balance competing priorities across various customers and programs.
  • Conduct audits as a significant aspect of this role.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Possession of a current Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
  • Experience in information systems auditing.
  • Familiarity with operating system security standards.
  • Practical experience with industry-standard Information Assurance tools.
Preferred Skills:
  • Current experience in environments supporting DoD or Intelligence Community customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain system Authorizations to Operate (ATOs).
  • Hands-on experience with ICD 503, JSIG, and/or DAAPAM.
  • Experience in implementing new and complex technologies across multiple classification levels in large-scale environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of nine years of professional experience; or seven years of experience with a related Master's degree.
Security Clearance Requirement: This position mandates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens for consideration.

Work Environment:
This position is performed onsite at a designated facility.
