The Senior Project Coordinator (SPC) is a full-time role that encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities related to public engagement, stakeholder interaction, project oversight, and business development. This mid-level position offers opportunities for professional growth within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Public Engagement Strategies: Collaborate in the creation and execution of public engagement plans and community outreach strategies across various platforms, including in-person events and digital communications, ensuring clients receive relevant and accurate public feedback.
  • Content Creation: Lead the development and refinement of project-related content, which includes branding, key messaging, promotional materials, presentations, digital communications, websites, display boards, social media content, and construction notifications.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Manage stakeholder inquiries and feedback through public comment protocols, including monitoring social media interactions and maintaining records of public input.
  • Notification Development: Design and implement public notification strategies to effectively disseminate project information and gather public input.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee junior staff in their daily project tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgetary constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate and supervise project-related vendor services and subcontractors.
  • Project Oversight: Assist senior management in monitoring project timelines, budget utilization, staff allocation, and progress reporting.
  • Proposal Assistance: Support the development of project proposals, including historical context, methodologies, qualifications, and budgetary considerations.
  • Staff Evaluation: Participate in the monthly review of staff productivity and contribute to annual performance evaluations.
Qualifications
  • Communication Proficiency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Budget Management: Experience in overseeing project budgets and guiding junior team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Public Interaction: A strong enthusiasm for engaging with the community is required.
  • Availability: Willingness to attend public meetings and events, which may occur during regular business hours, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive/SharePoint, Google applications, and social media platforms is required.
  • Digital Tools: Familiarity with digital engagement tools and public participation software, including Adobe Creative Suite and various survey platforms.
  • Technical Acumen: Knowledge of electronic mapping tools and online data resources is advantageous.
Minimum Requirements
  • Positive Outlook: A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for community involvement.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in public outreach, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred; a Master's Degree is advantageous.
